Passport to Learning
Registration is closed.
Welcome to the Technology & Learning Connections' Passport to Learning program! Passport to Learning is a micro-credential professional learning system that is provided free for Florida educators, specialists, and related service providers that serve Florida students. You, the "traveler," can apply for a "passport" (an online account) and then sign up for one or more pre-planned travel packages. Each travel package includes a number of competency-based "destinations." Your "passport" receives a stamp (badge) for each completed travel package and you will receive a certificate of inservice hours earned. You will also have the option of earning CEUs.
Each destination in a travel package consists of:
- Participating in a set of 60 to 90 minute online courses from the Assistive Technology Industry Association (ATIA).
- Completing a post-survey (in ATIA webinar) and travelogue (in your Passport) in each online course to earn a Certificate of Completion (upload into Passport required for credit toward stamp). Optional: If you want CEU's, follow the onscreen instructions for CEU Assessments and Certificates.
- Participation in three virtual meetings.
- Completing learning Souvenir activities.
- Completing a Scrapbook that includes travel reflections and the results of an implementation activity within a problem-solving process addressing impact on learning.
- Successful completion will result in 20 hour inservice credit and your passport stamp!
As you travel you will "pick up" souvenirs. You can
check out some past souvenirs here.
Your travel guide will monitor your progress and will stamp your passport when each travel package is completed. If you have any questions you can always contact a travel guide for assistance.
Passport to Learning is
free
to all Florida school districts and is provided through FLDOE Bureau of Exceptional Education and Student Services (BEESS) funding.
Check back in the Fall for new adventures!
